Ayush Scholarship Scheme for Non-BIMSTEC countries on behalf of Ayush Department to study in Indian Traditional Medicine Systems such as Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha & Homeopathy
The ICCR shortly known to be the Indian Council for Cultural Relations is an Indian apex body formed by the Government of India. The ICCR has its main objectives of strengthening the Indian relations with its neighbouring nations and foster good relationships with all the neighbouring relations. The ICCR has been awarding scholarships to many of its neighbouring nations to provide the students an opportunity to pursue their dreams.
The ICCR with its scholarships has been doing tremendous service and thereby helping around 135 countries and their students. The ICCR mostly gives away scholarships to the developing countries like South America, Central America, Asia and Africa. The ICCR are world renowned today with over 3000 students pursuing their higher education, under-graduation, post-graduation and doctoral studies with scholarships.
About Ayush Scholarship for Non-BIMSTEC countries
The Ayush scholarship scheme provided by the ICCR and the Government of India is providing around 15 slots to the students of the Non-BIMSTEC countries such as Malaysia, Korea for the current academic session 2014-15. The students can pursue their under-graduate, post-graduate, Ph.D studies in Ayurveda, Unaani, Siddha, Homeopathy and Yoga.
The slots present cannot be divided into different countries and they are given to the students on a first come, first serve basis.
The scholarship fee amount is given for all the courses of under-graduate, post-graduate, doctoral and post doctoral courses in the traditional Indian Medical System. The amount helps the students cover the tuition fee for the entire course. It also gives them a sustenance allowance along with the annual grants to obtain the books and the stationery for the course of study.
Scholarships are provided for the Under-graduate courses given below
- Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
- Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS)
- Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS)
- Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS)
- Bachelor of Science in Yoga
Scholarships for the post graduate courses which are given below
M.D. Ayurveda: 3 year course; Eligibility: BAMS degree recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM).
M.D. Siddha: 3 year course; Eligibility: BSMS degree recognized by CCIM.
M.D. Unani: 3 year course; Eligibility: BUMS degree recognized by CCIM.
M.D. Homeopathy: 3 year course; Eligibility: BHMS degree recognized by Central Council of Homeopathy (CCH).
Scholarships for the PhD studies courses are given below.
Ph.D. in Ayurveda: 3 year course; Eligibility: M.D. Ayurveda degree recognized by CCIM
