JEE Advanced 2013

The Joint Admission Board of IIT will follow a different criteria for admissions to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) and ISM, Dhanbad from this year and this will be implemented from the year 2013 replacing the older IIT-JEE Test. The JEE-2013 will be jointly conducted by the Zonal IIT’s and this includes IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee.

JEE Advanced Eligibility

Only those students who cleared the JEE MAIN successfully or in precise terms the top 150000 students from all the categories will be allowed to sit in the test . There is an additional criteria as well and according to that criteria only the top 20 percentile of the class twelfth board exams will be eligible for the Advanced test.

JEE Advanced 2013 Test Date and Time

The JEE MAIN test will be conducted on 7th April 2013, offline mode and the online mode will be from 8th April to 25th April 2013. The eligible candidates for the advanced test will sit for the examination on June 2nd 2013, Sunday and this test will be taken only in the offline mode. The timings for the exam are given below.
Paper 1: 09.00 to 12.00 hrs (IST)
Paper 2: 14.00 to 17.00 hrs (IST)
The above timings and dates will remain unaltered even if it is a public holiday.

JEE Advanced Exam pattern

There will be two Multiple choice questions (Objective questions) tests each of 3 hours and these tests will include questions from Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The question paper will consist questions in both the languages i.e. English as well as Hindi. However there are no changes made in the syllabus of this test as the syllabus will be same as it was in the JEE 2012.

Admit Card for JEE Advanced 2013

There will be no hard copy provided to the selected candidates, the candidate will have to download the admit card from the corresponding JEE Advanced 2013 website.
To download the Admit card, the candidate will have to fill in the following information
JEE Main 2013 registration number and the Date of Birth (DoB) (dd/mm/yyyy).

JEE Advanced 2013 Answer Key

THE ORS of the candidate who took part in the JEE Advanced test will be displayed on JEE Advanced 2013 website from 14th June to 17th June 2013. In case of any discrepancies the candidate can consult with IIT Delhi members involved in the admission process and the other relevant information about the test results and admissions will be mentioned in this website as well.

JEE Advanced 2013 Exam Result

The results of this examination will be declared on 23rd June 2013 (Sunday) on the IIT Delhi website.
The use of calculators and other electronic gadgets is strictly prohibited in the examination hall. The candidates should not carry any kind of notes or log tables with him, the necessary information regarding the logarithm of a value or underfoot of some value will be provided in the question paper itself.

Some Tips for the JEE Advanced Test

Make sure that you reach the examination centre by 8:15 in any case, so that you can complete the documentary formalities of the test successfully. Try to have a light breakfast on the day of exam like bread toast or bread with jam. Do not listen to any of the chit chat of the people around you, since this will deviate your mind, just be focussed and calm throughout and most important is to have a positive approach towards everything that comes into your way that day.
