ICAR’s 18th All India Entrance Examination

Indian Nationals are invited to apply for the examination conducted by The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The score of the examination in used in taking students to colleges that are supported by ICAR.

About the examination

  • The examination scores are used for taking admissions into colleges that are supported by ICAR.
  • The courses are allotted like below.
    • 100% seats for ICAR-deemed-universities.
    • 15% seats for Bachelor degree.
    • 25% seats for Master Degree.
    • The candidates can take up bachelor degree programs in one of the following subjects.
      •  Agriculture
      • Fisheries
      • Food Science
      • Horticulture
      • Sericulture
      • Agricultural Engineering
      • Agricultural Marketing & Co-operation
      • Biotechnology
      • Forestry
      • Home Science
      • Dairy Technology
      • The candidates can take up masters program in one of the following subjects.
        • Agriculture
        • Forestry
        • Home Science
        • Horticulture
        • Agricultural Engineering
        • Physical Science
        • Biotechnology
        • Dairy Science
        • Social Sciences
        • Veterinary Science
        • Fisheries Science
        • Allied sciences
        • Every year 475 scholarships are offered for Master Degree programs.

Other Information

  • The candidates must send original forms that are original and completely filled.
  • The candidates belonging to OBC/General/UPS category cannot apply in the form meant for SC/PH/ ST. In case they apply, they will be rejected.
  • The payment must be made in the name of “ICAR Unit-Education Division, ICAR, New Delhi” and must be marked payable “New Delhi”.
  • The candidates must make sure their contact details on the back of the Bank’s Draft.
  • The Draft must have the Bank details also clearly.
  • ICAR will never be responsible for any wrong consequences due to wrong information on the draft.
  • The candidates cannot submit Applications that are filled on Photo/ Specimen/Fax copies of Application. They will be directly rejected.
  • The candidates with the following mistakes will be directly rejected.
    • Forms being Incomplete.
    • Forms that are Unsigned.
    • Application form that are Mutilated.
    • Application Form without a Photograph.
    • Form with a Photograph that I not clear.
    • Form with overwriting.
    • Application forms that does not include requisite fee amount.
    • Amount attached that is lesser than actual fee.
    • The candidate must attach the following documents with the application.
      • A Xerox of the OMR Application form that is duly filled.
      • Admit Card, candidate’s copy.
      • Proof of application fee payment.
      • Speed Post or Registered Post receipt.
      • The candidates must make sure they submit all the applications well before the end date.
      • Any wrong information given in the application will not be encourages and will directly be rejected.
