GUJCET 2013 – Exam Pattern, Eligibility, Application, Admit Card and Important dates

Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Board of Education (GSEB) takes Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) entrance exam every year for the students who want admission into engineering colleges as well as medical colleges and institutes in Gujarat. For this purpose every year thousands of students register themselves for GUJCET .GUJCET is only open to the candidates who belong to Gujarat. Admission to all the courses is based on GUJCET as well as class 12th exams. Every year a large number of application forms are distributed in all over the state. Large number of students apply for GUJCET every year for admission in to these courses.

·         Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)

·         MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery)

·         Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)

·         Bachelor of Pharmacy) (B.Pharma)

GUJCET 2013 Exam pattern

GUJCET exam is divided into 4 sections and each section carries 40 questions. The duration for the entrance exam is of 3 hours. The sections consist of Biology, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The test will be based on the syllabus of Std XI & XII. Those who are appearing for engineering ,has to attempt Mathematics, chemistry and physics, and those for medical has to appear for biology, chemistry and physics. Exam comprises of multiple choice question with answers. Also GUJCET exam is conducted in 3 different languages, namely English, Hindi and Gujarati. It is mandatory that a candidate should mention his medium in application form.

GUJCET 2013 Reservation of Seats

75% seats will be reserved for all the candidates and 25% will be under the Management Quota. There will be no seats for the candidates of any other states.

GUJCET 2013 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who want to apply against GUJCET 2013 must have passed or appearing in 10+2 or HSC exam of ICSE/ CBSE/ Gujarat Board from a recognized school or Institution, going to appear for 12th exams in the very year are also eligible.

Student’s age should be between 17 years and 25 years.

Students should be a citizen of India and must have a domicile of Gujarat.

Also candidates who are the heirs of the employees who are basically from GUJARAT but are serving in other states as central or state government employees and have passed in 12th science stream or about to appear from that state board are eligible.

GUJCET 2013 Application Form

Examination fee of Rupee 250/- for each applicants is to be deposited by way of a Joint Demand Draft in the name of “Secretary, Gujarat Common Entrance Test Cell, Gandhinagar”, payable at Ahmedabad Higher Secondary Schools, and can get the Information Booklet and Pin No. (User ID – Password) during the period from December 2012 from the distribution centers.

  • Application form is made available at www.gseb.org

  • Candidates can get the prospectus (User id –Password) from board’s office at Vadodara and Gandhinagar, Nanpura, Surat, S G Dholakiya High School, Rajkot & T & TV High School. DD of Rs. 250/- should be sent to the Secretary, Gujarat Common Entrance Test Cell, Gandhinagar, payable at Ahmedabad.

  • GUJCET application form for online registration will be made available in the website soon.

  • Candidates can logon to gujcet.gseb.org for application form by using the application number or user ID-password.

GUJCET 2013 Important Point

  1. The online registration form should be filled according to the instruction of information booklet.

  2. Regarding the acceptance and rejection of application form, the decision of the chairman is final

GUJCET 2013 Admit Card

Candidates should download there online admit 10 days prior to the examination.

Points to check after getting the Admit Card:

a. Verify thoroughly  the details of admit card. If there is any error, contact the GUJCET Cell immediately for the same and get the error corrected.
b. In any circumstances candidate entry will not be allowed in the examination Centre or examination hall without admit card.
c. Candidate cannot make any change in any of the detail or information in the Admission Card by himself.
d. Candidates are advised to keep their Admit Card in good condition till the admission procedure is not completed.

Candidate shall sign at two places in the Admission Card as well as also take signature of the Block Supervisor. As an evidences of getting question booklet and answer sheet andsubmitting the OMR Answer Sheet to the Block Supervisor.

If there is any error in admit card, then the candidate shall submit the admit card in person at the following address;
