Entrance Test for AIPMT 2013

The All India Pre Medical Test, popularly known as AIPMT is an entrance test after the class 12th for the students who want to pursue bachelor’s degree in MBBS or BDS. This is a national level and it is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.
Pattern of the AIPMT 2013 Exam
This is an objective type of test with single answer correct and it consists of questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology Botany and Zoology). The duration of this test will be 3 hours. There are two levels of this test, the first one is the preliminary and the next is the Main exam. The question paper will have questions in two languages and these are English and Hindi.
Pattern for the AIPMT 2013 Preliminary test
This exam will consist of total 200 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The correct answers are to be marked with a blue ball point pen in the OMR sheet.
Pattern for the AIPMT 2013 Main Test
This exam will consist of a set of 120 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology with only single correct answers. The correct answers should be marked in the OMR sheets.

AIPMT 2013 Important Dates

  • Opening date for applying online for the AIPMT 2013- 3rd week of December 2012
  • Last date for applying online for the AIPMT 2013- 25th February 2013
  • Online downloading of the Admit card 2013- 1st week of march
  • Preliminary test date- 1st week of April 2013, for the exact date stay tuned with us
  • Main test date- Not yet decided but it will be scheduled in May 2013
  • Online results declaration- June 2013

AIPMT 2013 Eligibility

  • The candidate must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31 December 2012.
  • The cut- off marks for the general category is 50% and for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST category the cut- off marks is 45%.

The places where the preliminary test for the medical courses will be held are Agartala, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal, Chennai, Chandigarh ,Cochin, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Itanagar, Kolkata, Imphal, Trivandrum, Ranchi, Mumbai, Nagpur, Shimla, Shillong, Lucknow, Noida, Raipur, Jaipur, Patna, Panaji, Port Blair, Pondicherry.

Since the candidates shortlisted in the preliminary test will be allowed to sit in the Main test, thus the number of candidates is comparatively very less and thus the Main examination is held only in some of the selected locations like Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Cochin, Chennai, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Ranchi.
