Different Types of Tests

There are different types of tests that are,

  1. Multiple choice,
  2. True/ False
  3. Match the following
  4. Fill in the blanks
  5. Essays.

Multiple Choice Types Exams: In this type of test, the question will contain the answers in multiple choice format and the candidates need to choose the right answer. These tests are quicker to complete and easier to score. These can be used in any a wide range of difficulty level and can give an easy interpretation of the candidates’ skill. The type is sometimes confusing, as more than one answer could appear correct and mislead the candidate.

True/False Types Exams: These questions come with only two answer choices, either true or false. These are easier than the first type and there is a greater chance that that the candidate will answer correctly, since the probability of one option being the correct one is 50%.

Match the Following Types Exams: Here, various characteristics of the answer choices should be matched with other answer choices. This type is more easier than the previous two types.

Fill in the Blanks Types Exams: Here, a blank or two in a sentence will be left, which the candidate needs to fill, with or without answer options. The presence of answer choices is dependent on the examination.

Essays Types Exams: Essays are another important type of tests that measure candidates’ knowledge of grammar and sentence structure. A perfect essay is a combo of both as well as adequate relevance to the topic.
