AIPMT Medical Entrance Exam

As you know that the field of medical science & medicine is a career option well sought after. But one has to go through a process of taking entrance tests and interviews in order to get into a good medical school. There are various medical entrance tests like AIIMS, JIPMER, AFMC etc, but the CBSE PMT is a medical entrance test of national level. PMT, popularly known as the all India pre medical test (AIPMT) is primarily conducted by central board of secondary education (CBSE) once a year. It gets you admission to BDS and MBBS courses in various medical colleges across the country. This exam is held in order to fill 15% of the total seats for medical courses in medical colleges run by union of India, state government, municipal and other local authorities in India. So this examination provides some of the best medical students. The AIPMT examination is generally held in two stages -the Preliminary Examination and the Final Examination.
AIPMT Eligibility criteria:
Candidates willing to appear for this exam should be a 12th standard pass out. The minimum age limit is seventeen years and the maximum age limit is twenty five years. Applicants should pass their 10+2 boards with the minimum score of 50 % from a recognized board with physics, chemistry, biology and English as their subjects. For SC ST candidates, the cut off marks is 40%.  The maximum number of taking the exam for a candidate is 3.
AIPMT How to prepare?
The only way to crack a medical entrance test is to work hard. One has to start preparing for the exam long before the notified date of the examination. Get the materials in hand. Start preparing. And the only effective way in which you know that you are preparing right is to solve the previous year’s examination papers and model tests. It helps you get an idea of the exam pattern and make your own strategy. Get the model question papers from internet and evaluate your strength and weakness. Time management is a vital factor in an entrance test. AIPMT has negative marking so refrain from making wild guesses. Solve the questions which you are confident about. Those who are not strong in calculations should go for theoretical questions first and then try the numerical or calculation-based questions. The examination question paper is usually set in English. However, once an applicant mentions his preference for language, he is not allowed to change it later.
