IIMC 2016 Entrance Exams Official Dates Released

IIMC is nothing but the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) which is one among the premier institute in India to study the Mass Communication, which helps you to gain better employment in the Media sectors. Today, IIMC announced their official dates for the upcoming IIMC 2016 Entrance Exams for the admissions of PG Diploma courses in English & Hindi Journalism, Advertising & PR Relations, Radio & TB Journalism followed by Odia Journalism for the upcoming academic year 2016-2017 indeed.

Educational Criteria for IIMC 2016:

According to the official notification by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) 2016 the candidate should be a graduate in any discipline, students appearing for their final year examinations can also appear for the entrance test, showing their final year mark sheet/provisional certificate by August 31, 2016.

Age Limits for IIMC 2016 Exams:

Here we go with the age limits to attend the IIMC Exam 2016 in the following lines.

The general category, the date of birth should be August 1, 1991 or later.

The OBC candidate’s date of birth should be August 1, 1988 or later.

The SC/ST/handicapped students, the date of birth should be August 1, 1986 or later.

Important Official Dates for IIMC 2016 Exam:

The last date for sale and receipt of application forms: May 6, 2016

The entrance examination for PG diploma courses in Hindi/English journalism (9 am to 11 am), Radio and TV journalism (12 noon to 2 pm), Advertising and Public relations (3 pm to 5 pm) is on May 29, 2016.

The entrance examination for Odia journalism is on May 30, 2016, between 9 am to 11 am.

The interview dates is scheduled to last week of June/first week of July 2016

The academic session begins right on last week of July/first week of August 2016.

Selection Process for IIMC 2016:

According to the IIMC 2016 Notifications, the selection process for the admissions is purely based on the candidates performance with the common written examinations followed by interview indeed.

International UG Scholarships 2016 at University of Leicester UK

University of Leicester, UK has invited applications for Al-Yafei International UG Scholarships 2016 for students pursuing UG degree at Leicester in September 2016.

The University of Leicester offers a range of scholarships to attract the brightest and the best students to Leicester regardless of their background. The university do not want money to be a possible hindrance to stop prospective students from considering further study. University of Leicester’s aim is to be a world-class research-intensive university and deliver teaching and facilitate learning of the highest quality.

Scholarship Details:

  • The scholarship is awarded in the form of a £5,000 reduction in your tuition fee for each year of full-time undergraduate degree-level study at the University, up to a maximum of three years.
  • In accordance with scholarship guidelines, students are allowed to hold only one University of Leicester scholarship, awarded either centrally or by a department. If you are awarded more than one scholarship, you will therefore receive only the higher value award.
  • This scholarship is not available for students on the MBChB in Medicine.


Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Applicants must be classified as an international student (non-EU) for fee purposes.
  1. The scholarship will not be awarded in any year where an industrial placement or study abroad/exchange programme is undertaken.
  1. The scholarship will be discontinued if you suspend your studies or if the normal progress of your studies is interrupted for any reason.
  1. In accordance with scholarship guidelines, students are allowed to hold only one University of Leicester scholarship, awarded either centrally or by a department. If you are awarded more than one scholarship, you will therefore receive only the higher value award.
  1. The scholarship is valid for entry only in September 2016.
  1. The scholarship is awarded in the form of a reduction in tuition fees.
  1. If applicants currently have a conditional offer of a place at the University, they are still required to fulfil any conditions stated on their offer letter.
  1. If applicants enrol on an MBChB degree in Medicine, they will not be eligible for the scholarship.

NITIE Fellow (Doctoral) Programme 2016 with Financial Assistance

National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) Mumbai, an autonomous body under the Ministry of HRD, Government of India invites application for the Fellow (Doctoral) Programme for the 2016 batch. The Doctoral (fellowship) programme covers the following areas such as, Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Systems, Operations and Decision Science and Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Environmental Engineering and Management, Engineering Technology and Project Management, Organizational Behavior & Human Resource Management, Finance & Accounts, Marketing, Economics & Strategy.


Eligibility for NITIE Fellowship 2016:

Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering/ Technology, Management, Economics, Commerce, Social Science, Life sciences and Pure Sciences with 60% aggregate marks (relaxable by 5% in case of SC/ST/PwD (Person with Disability) candidates) from recognized University/ Institution, CA/ ICWAand ACS.

Final year students in the above said disciplines can also apply.

Project/Work experience in these areas would be preferred.

The number of seats are reserved as per the Government of India rules for SC/ST/OBC-NC (Non-Creamy) and PwD candidates.


Selection Process of NITIE Fellowship 2016:

The common admission test (written) type will be conducted by the NITIE and the candidates selected based on their performance with the written test followed by their past academic records and personal achievement, finally with the Personal Interview.


Financial Assistance for NITIE Fellowship Programme 2016:

Provided only to the regular candidates for four years as per MHRD guidelines. To be eligible for financial assistance the candidate should havea Valid Score of GATE/CAT/NET-JRF at the time of application.


Application Process:

The candidates who are interested in applying for the NITIE Fellowship 2016 program is requested to submit their hard copy of Application form along with their research proposal (maximum 1500 words) along with relevant document on or before 4th April 2016 at NITIE Mumbai through speed post.


Application Fees:

According to the official notification for NITIE Fellowship Programme 2016, the application filling is completely online mode only. While coming to the application fees,

Rs. 1000 for General & OBC Candidates and

Rs. 500 for SC/ST/PwD Candidates

and fees can be paid through Online Mode (Net Banking) as well.
